About Børge Mogensen 2213 Three-Seater Sofa

A sofa designed for comfort and relaxation, the 2213 3-seater sofa is considered Mogensen's most demanded design. Perfectly designed for maximum satisfaction, the sofa has soft padded cushions and an ergonomic arm height and backrest. The elegant, minimal yet comfy design ensures you don't need to sacrifice function for form. Highly aesthetic, the sofa's classic geometric lines follow Mogensen's acclaimed Scandinavian design principles. Timelessly classic, this is a sofa that brings sophistication to any room. Hand-crafted in premium Italian leather, the 2212 sofa is available in eight colours - black, dark brown, brown, camel, sand, red, cream and white - and has contrasting wooden legs.

The story behind the Mogensen 2213 Sofa

Mogensen designed many items of furniture for the home he shared with his wife, Alice, in the north of Copenhagen. The 2213 sofa was created in 1962 and still sits in the couple's living room. It was specifically designed for this space and Mogensen chose rich brown leather upholstery to suit the natural aesthetics of the room. The sofa was part of a suite, which also included the matching 2212 2-seater and 2211 armchair. This suite has become Mogensen's most recognised legacy and is showcased in numerous museums and galleries worldwide.
