About Børge Mogensen 2333 Three-Seater Sofa
With its clean lines, leather upholstery and wooden legs, the Børge Mogensen 2333 sofa is unmistakably Scandinavian in origin. Minimalist and functional, the sofa's timeless aesthetics can be styled with either contemporary or vintage designs bringing sophistication, elegance and comfort to any room. Large enough to easily seat three people and with thick, padded cushions to relax upon, the 2333 sofa is handcrafted for the highest quality. The aniline leather upholstery is available in eight colours and designed to improve with age. The hardwood legs provide an interesting contrast to the frame.
The story behind the 2333 3-seater sofa
The 2333 Sofa is part of Børge Mogensen's final furniture collection and a fitting final contribution to a celebrated career. Designed in 1971, the sofa is a culmination of Mogensen's experience in perfecting the principles of modernism and functionalism. Sadly, Mogensen passed away the year later, but his legacy lives on forever. He is remembered as one of Denmark's most influential furniture designers who helped to bring the concept of Scandinavian design to the world. His final collection, entitled 2300, also included the matching 2332 2-seater and 2334 armchair.
