Sori Yanagi is one of the most famous Japanese designers. He entered Tokyo Art School in 1934 and was inspired by the works of Le Corbusier. One of his most famous designs is the butterfly stool, although he has made everything from pedestrian overpasses to Olympic cauldrons. Most of his designs are very simple and reflects his thinking that true beauty is not made, it is born naturally.
