About Børge Mogensen 2212 Two-Seater Sofa
Designed for his own home, the Børge Mogensen 2212 sofa is built for style and comfort. The story behind the Mogensen 2212 2-seater sofa
In 1962, Børge Mogensen set about designing a suite of lounge seating for his home in Gentofte north of Copenhagen. The results were the now-iconic 2212, along with the matching 2213 3-seater and 2211 armchair. This is perhaps Mogensen's most recognised collection and one that has been widely used in home interiors and businesses.

Børge Mogensen was one of the pioneers of Danish mid-century design. Best known for his focus on functionality, his work was characterised by strong, clean lines. His most iconic designs include the J39, 2331 chair, 2211 chair, 2212 sofa and 2204 Wing Chair.
