Danish furniture designer, Hans J. Wegner was a pioneer of Organic Functionality, which seamlessly merged natural shapes with practical applications. His designs significantly contribute to the international popularity of mid-century Danish design. In his lifetime he designed over 500 different chairs, over 100 of which were put into mass production and many became design icons. His most iconic designs include the Y Chair, the CH07 Lounge Chair, the Ox Chair, the Style Hoop Chair, The Chair and the Wing Chair.

Staying true to the original blueprint, our Wing Chair is angled in such a way that your body can't help but relax. This comfortable armchair is upholstered in either luxury cashmere or top grain aniline leather, which has a natural appearance that improves with age. The tubular legs are made from polished stainless steel and the "wings" of the chair provide superior support for your upper back, neck and head. The seat allows you to sit in a variety of comfortable positions. The chair comes in a wide range of colours to suit every taste. The story behind the Hans J. Wegner Wing ChairHans J. Wegner was regarded as the ultimate chair maker and the Danish designer created more than 400 chairs throughout his lifetime. Hans J. Wegner created the Wing Chair in 1960 and it has since become one of the designer's most celebrated works. It has won several international awards including, a classic innovation award for its timeless appeal at the IMM Cologne furniture fair in 2006. Wegner had an intimate understanding of materials and a deep passion for creating chairs which delivered a high level of comfort.
