The STIN reproduction keeps to the original design, comes in either cashmere or leather and is available in a variety of colours.

The Story Behind the Hans J. Wegner Teddy Bear Chair

Having designed over 500 chairs in his lifetime, Hans J. Wegner is one of the 20th century's most prolific creators of iconic chairs. The Teddy Bear chair is amongst them and is a prime example of Wegner's love of what he termed 'Organic Functionality'. Designed in 1951, it wasn't until later that year when a critic was reviewing the chair that the 'Teddy Bear' name was coined, referring to its shape and look. Since then the chair has always been referred to by this name. Among Wegner's classic you also find the iconic Y Chair, The Chair and the CH23 Chair.
